46 Ford Convertible meets 06 Crown Victoria

We are starting a new project. This 46 Ford Convertible was restored by Joe Horvath in 1986. Now the owner says" That flathead has stranded me for the last time!". So, we are going to put this 46 body on a full frame 2006 Crown Victoria. It has a 4.6 litre police interceptor motor, abs, 4 wheel disc brakes, etc. It will drive nicely without vapor locking like the original motor did. It will have ac, power steering and other creature comforts.

 The donor car.
Still looks good after 26 years! Buffed a couple of spots, still looks good!
Amazing that some cars that had a quality restoration done years ago, 26 years ago, are still worthy of upgrading the drivetrain, new paint and it's ready for the next 25 years of fun.

Dash and window reveals I woodgrained 26 years ago.
 Trunk floor is still good.
Interior starting to come apart, this upholstery was nicely done in 1972, varment smell is bad now!!
